How to Make Scalloped Potatoes


Scalloped potatoes are made cooking the slices of potatoes with added spices in the oven or any other heating unit. These are mostly treated with coconut milk mixture with added slices so as to form a perfect blend of taste that everybody relishes and enjoys.

How to Make Scalloped Potatoes


150ml coconut milk
Salt and pepper to taste
5-6 fine potatoes (peeled and cut length wisely)
Spices according to region.


Garnishing:- With curry leaves or coriander leaves




1. Take a bowl, add the salt and pepper to it along with the coconut milk and whisk the mixture properly.


2. Add the spices to it and take the oven cooking pan. Add some ghee or butter to the base of it. Add the sliced potatoes to the base layering them and pour some of the mixture that we prepared in the first step to it.


3. Add curry leaves to the top of it and cover the cooking unit.


4. Heat the cooking unit in an oven which should be kept on pre heating while following the step-1 and the dish should be served hot when the potatoes get tender.


Chef’s Tip:-

Preferably the chat masala or the garam masala and amhoor would be the perfect spices for making scalloped potatoes.
